What you need

  • A specific customer problem
  • Business name ideas
  • Owner and address information
  • Startup budget
  • Phone and email

Every step

  1. 1

Choose one customer and one problem

Write: We help [specific customer] get [specific result] without [major frustration]. Do not begin with a logo or entity until this sentence is clear.

CHECKPOINT · A stranger can identify the customer and result.
  2. 2

    Confirm people will pay

Speak with at least five likely customers. Ask how they solve the problem now, what it costs them, and what a useful solution must include. Request a deposit or written interest before building too much.

  3. 3

    Define the first offer

List the exact deliverable, completion time, price, payment schedule, revision limit, and what is not included. Start with one offer that can be fulfilled reliably.

  4. 4

    Choose and verify the name

Search the state business registry, federal trademark database, web search, social platforms, and domain availability. Similar names in the same field create risk even when a domain is available.

  5. 5

    Form the business

File the entity through the official state website, appoint a registered agent, obtain the approved formation document, then request a free EIN directly from the IRS.

  6. 6

    Separate the money

Open a business bank account using formation documents, EIN, operating agreement, and identification. Route all business income and expenses through it.

  7. 7

    Create the minimum sales system

Build a clear service page, payment method, agreement, intake form, and confirmation message. Test the full process yourself.

  8. 8

    Sell and document

Contact qualified prospects daily, record every conversation, improve the offer from objections, and save receipts, contracts, taxes, and deadlines in one operating folder.

Important warnings

  • Do not pay unofficial websites for a free EIN.
  • Licenses and tax registrations vary by location and activity.
  • Do not mix business and personal spending.

Finished when

The business has a validated offer, approved formation, EIN, separate bank account, working payment and intake process, and an active prospect list.
